#R5loudtour

This is not my usual post, but I was so excited that I had to share it.  So, yesterday was the best day of  my life, because I got to go to one of my favorite bands concerts last night, R5!  At first I wasn't even sure if I was going and I didn't know what it would be like and how many people would be there.  The best part was that I got to go with my best friend alexia and we were freaking out when we got there.  Then right as we were walking to the line to get into the epicenter, we saw them around the corner by their tour bus! Soon after that they opened the doors and there was barely anyone there and we wiggled our way through the crowd and we ended up super close to the stage and center stage.  We didn't know this but there ended being three opening acts before R5 came on. The first act was Alex Aiono and we took pictures with him and he told us to come over and talk to him after the show.  The next act was Taylor Mathews and we took pictures with him after the show too, and he signed our cd's and we talked to him too.  When we were talking to him I told how I liked surfing and he said he did too and then he said we could go surfing together.  After that we talked to his bandmate David and then their band was gonna play some songs in the parking lot and then David told us to come watch them.  The last opening act was Brandon and Savannah who were brother and sister and their set was awesome.  We took pics with them and then Brandon told his bandmate that we were his favorites and that we were the girls he was singing to, and then later in the parking lot he called over to us and told us again that we were his favorites and that we were also the prettiest and his sister said she liked my shorts!  Then he gave me and Alexia a bunch of free merchandise.  Then R5 came on and it was the best thing of my life and I got to touch four out the five people's hands in the band during the concert. Their names are Rocky, Rydel, Ross, Ratliff, And Riker. After they played they let us get their signatures, but they didn't stay to hang around like the other bands.  The cool thing is that their all brothers and sisters except one of their brothers, Ryland is not in the band but he is the manager and we got to hang out with him.  That is why it was the best night of my life.  I was barely ambulatory.

DIY- Surfing

I think that surfing is one of the coolest sports ever.  I've always wanted to learn how to surf and I was recently taught, so now I'm going to teach you.   The reason I think surfing is so cool is because I love the ocean.  If you are scared to go in the ocean then I don't think this is the thing for you.

1.  The first thing to do is to get a wetsuit or rash-guard so you don't get a rash from the board.

2.  When you are first learning to surf you should start with about a 10-12 inch board, but as you get better you can change the length. It would be superfluous to get a short board now. ( I recommend getting a cheap foam board from Costco as a starter board)

3.  So as you are about to head to the beach, pick the one that has pretty small waves so it will be easier for you to get up, on the surfboard.

4.  You should practice on the beach a few times before you go out in the water.

5.  The first thing you do is paddle out into the ocean where the waves start to form.( when laying on your board make sure your feet are 6 inches from the back)

6.  Once you are out there, in the ocean, and a wave is coming turn your surfboard around.

7.  As the wave is coming start paddling with your arms as hard as you can.

8.  Once you catch the wave use your arms to push your chest up on the board, then slide your legs up so that you are sitting on your knees.

9.  Now put your more comfortable foot forward on the board and once your comfortable stand up on your back foot also.

10.  You are now riding the wave, have fun.
